The Reliance Power Parts (RPP) warranty policy covers parts
and labor necessary to repair a warrantable failure to the functional condition
of the application that existed immediately prior to the failure, as detailed
below. This warranty statement applies to direct customers of RPP only and is
non-transferable.
New internal engine parts for agricultural and industrial
applications supplied by RPP are warranted to be free from defects in material
and workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a period of
one year from the date of invoice without limitation on miles or hours of
operation. These policy terms exclude
all engine assemblies, including, but not limited to: short block assemblies,
long block assemblies, and complete engines. For information on warranty

Engine overhaul kits for heavy-duty on-highway applications
supplied by RPP are warranted to be free from defects in material and
workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a period of two
years from the date of invoice without limitation on miles or hours of
operation.
Remanufactured engine and drivetrain parts are warranted to
be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal service and
operating conditions for a period of six months from the date of invoice,
without limitation on miles or hours of operation, on a parts-replacement-only
basis.
Drivetrain parts are warranted to be free from defects in
material and workmanship under normal service and operating conditions for a
period of one year from the date of invoice, without limitation on miles or
hours of operation, on a parts-replacement-only basis.
Complete engines and new long blocks manufactured by Reliance
are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal
service and operating conditions for a period of six months from the date of
invoice, without limitation on miles or hours of operation, on a parts-replacement-only
basis.
Remanufactured long blocks and short blocks produced by
Reliance, as well as new short blocks manufactured by Reliance, are warranted
to be free from defects in material and workmanship under normal service and
operating conditions for a period of ninety days from the date of, without
limitation on miles or hours of operation, on a parts-replacement-only basis.
New and remanufactured engines, complete engines, long
blocks, medium blocks, and short blocks produced by any company other than
Reliance are not warranted by Reliance and are solely covered by the
manufacturer’s warranty. For information on these warranties, contact your
Reliance representative.
RPP supplied parts will be covered at current customer
pricing. Where available, only new or remanufactured RPP or RPP approved parts
will be used in making the repair. OEM or other aftermarket sourced parts used
when RPP parts are available will be credited at the RPP part price. OEM or
outside parts (that are not available from RPP directly) that are used in the
repair will be covered at billed rate and require an invoice for consideration.
Labor coverage, offered at the discretion of RPP, will not
exceed published flat-rate times and a maximum regional wholesale hourly labor rate.
Holiday and overtime rates are not covered.
The RPP warranty does not cover failures resulting from
owner or operator abuse or neglect, including but not limited to operation
without adequate coolant, fuel or lubricants, over-fueling, over-speeding, lack
of maintenance of lubricating, coolant or air intake systems, improper storage,
starting, warm-up, run-in or shut-down practices. Coverage does not include
troubleshooting or diagnostic time, towing, transport, down-time, rental fees,
or incidentals including but not limited to delivery charges, travel, meals,
lodging, business losses, docking or harbor charges.
The installer is responsible for ensuring that the parts are
correct for the application and installing parts according to OEM procedures,
specifications and accepted industry standards. The owner is responsible for
the operation and maintenance of the equipment as specified in the OEM operation
and maintenance manuals.
RPP must be notified prior to the end of the warranty period
and all warranty repairs must be authorized by RPP technical staff if a
warranty claim is to be valid and considered. All claimed parts must be
returned to the indicated physical location within thirty days from date of an
issued Return Merchandise Authorization for the claim to be evaluated and
considered valid. In the event of a claim, a Warranty Claim Form must be
requested for the return of parts for warranty consideration. It is the
claimant’s responsibility to provide failed parts, a completed Warranty Claim
Form and copies of any related work orders or invoices for examination by RPP
technical personnel. Parts must be shipped freight pre-paid with all associated
paperwork and arrive in a condition that makes examination possible. Parts
received without a Warranty Claim Form will be returned to the customer freight
collect.
The warranties set forth herein are the sole warranties made
by RPP regarding its parts. RPP makes no other warranties, expressed or
implied, of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
